Children, in groups of four, took part in the marshmallow challenge. Each group had 20 pieces of spaghetti, a yard of string, a yard of masking tape and a marshmallow. To win, the team had to build the highest structure with a marshmallow on top. The key to success is teamwork.

Congratulations to Kyonne and Temi on winning the Bexley Library Bus competition. They wrote wonderful alien stories as did all the children in the class.

After tasting and evaluating pizzas we then all designed and made pizzas. They were wonderfully tasty.

Earlier in the year we practised golf, so this afternoon we set up a nine hole golf course. There were lots of fantastic strokes including some holes in one.

We have been learning about mena, median and mode; the words are very similar, so it is hard to remember what the words mean. This song helps us to remember the words.

This afternoon we were treated to an organ recital. They showed us and talked about their different instruments. They played classical music that we recognised such as: Chitty chitty bang bang, Titanic and harry Potter music.

For a couple of weeks the children have been practising their diski dances. The dance is a mixture of dance and football; dancers must imagine they are keeping control of a football.

Lots of sport this summer. Every Tuesday, there is now cricket which the children really enjoy.
