Firepower

July 11th, 2009

We travelled by bus to Firepower at Woolwich Arsenal. Children had chosen and researched the trip.

Bob Lindridge, with help from Guyus, looked after us all day. There was lots to see and do and it was great being able to ask a “real” legionnaire questions about Roman times.

Super swimmers

June 14th, 2009

swimmers
Five children from Year 5 represented the school at the swimming gala. They were all fantastic and swam extremely well against children who were older than them. Also, they were fantastic sports and cheered on and encouraged, very loudly, their teammates.
A big thank you to the parents for taking your children swimming; you should be very proud of your children.

No water! No school!

May 11th, 2009

A water main burst outside the school on Sunday. This meant there was no water for the toilets or kitchen.
As soon as possible, parents were e-mailed and texted.
All children were sent home except for Yr6 who had there SATs.

Super Class

April 29th, 2009

Sorry not written for a couple of weeks.

Sometimes it’s nice to hear compliments. Today, our friends on the library bus were very impressed with our behaviour and in particular their choice of quality stories. They have asked that we produce a display for the library bus.

Also, our swimming instructors have been very impressed at the children’s swimming progress Lastly, Joe was really impressed with how much we remembered about cricket.

Well done

Keep it up

Karate

Tan

Tan arranged for Sensei Andy, Anthony and Peter to come in and demonstrate karate skills. They were fantastic; the children were fantastic. They demonstrated the basic self-defence moves, but also made it clear that the first moves should be to get move away from any aggression. They spent over forty minutes with the children; thank you so much.
